Here’s a different take on breakfast grits I think you will like.


CHOCOLATE BREAKFAST GRITS  (Pantry Cooking II)


1/4 cup quick grits
1 cup water
Pinch salt
2 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 to 2 tablespoons pecan pieces
Milk

Cook grits in salted water according to package directions.  When cooked and as thick as desired, stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until the chocolate melts completely.  Spoon into a bowl.  Sprinkle pecans on top and serve with milk.  Serves 1.
